Beaches
Meia Praia is a beautiful 10km beach running from Lagos to Alvor. It is 5km to the west of Quinta das Palmeiras. The nearest large town is Lagos, a bustling and historical town which has become a hugely popular tourist destination. Lagos has its own marina and a wealth of restaurants and nightlife. To the east Portimao and Praia da Rocha are a similar distance.

Most tourists arrive at Faro international airport and travel by car very easily. A hire car is recommended but taxi fares from the airport are around €90 and the driving time is approximately 50 minutes. From Lisbon the driving time is 2,5hrs.
